Since being arrested Wednesday morning (March 27), Gucci Mane has remained jailed … and is likely to stay there for nearly a month, as he’s been denied bail.
Police had issued a warrant for Gucci Mane’s arrest after he was accused of assaulting a soldier at an Atlanta nightclub on Friday (March 22) when he asked for a photo. He’s since been arrested and in police custody on two counts of assault.
In a hearing later yesterday, Gucci Mane was denied bond, will remain jailed.
“Mr. Davis has a history, we’re not going to skirt that issue,” Gucci’s lawyer Drew Findling told press outside of the courthouse. “That history made it difficult for him to get bond today.”
Gucci’s attorney did, however, note that there aren’t confirmed witnesses of the alleged attack last week.
The rapper is expected back in court April 10th.
