It’s been a minute since Wale has dropped a new project. He’s been hard at work, pushing his MMG debut/sophomore album, Ambition… but he’s got a new mixtape on deck.

The DC rapper announced this week the upcoming release of Folarin, which he will drop on Christmas Eve.

So far, Wale offered a preview of the DJ Clark Kent-hosted project by dropping the first single, “Freedom of Speech.” Produced by No Credit, the soulful record samples Willie Hutch’s “Brother’s Gonna Work It Out” and includes a sound bite from President Obama’s victory speech.

Additionally, Wale is working on his third album, which is set for release in early 2013. Listen to the new single below.
