The Hundreds announced an upcoming sneaker collaboration with popular Bay Area based designer/brand Benny Gold this week.
Dubbed “Benny Gold For The Hundreds”, the brands worked together to create a limited version of The Hundreds’ Johnson Low silhouette.
The shoe is completely inspired by San Francisco and the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge. The outer shell is made with a rust colored patina and ostrich leather (symbolizing the bridge’s colorway) and features traces of aqua throughout the shoe (to tie in the presence of the Pacific Ocean). Gradient gray and white laces are representative of San Francisco’s ubiquitous fog, while the tongue and insole feature a specially designed Hundreds logo re-fashioned to include Benny Gold’s trademark paper plane.
To coincide with the sneaker is a pair of “Benny Gold For The Hundreds” tees, featuring a Golden Gate Bridge-inspired graphic meshed with The Hundreds’ trademark Adam Bomb. The tees are available in black and grey.
The sneaker and tees drop at the Benny Gold SF flagship (3169 16th Street, SF, CA), as well as The Hundreds flagship locations (LA, SF, NYC, Santa Monica) on Friday (November 9), with stock becoming available online on Monday (November 12) at TheHundreds.com.
