In an interview, published by Complex.com this week, Juvenile is quoted as saying that Lil Wayne had asked him for advice when wanting to leave Cash Money Records in the mid-2000s.

Despite how true the words may have been, the New Orleans rap vet says, today, he feels much differently about the YMCMB family.

Since the interview came out, Juvie has stepped forward with a statement to offer some clarification. He says the interview was conducted in the Spring, before he worked with both Weezy and Birdman in the studio, on the track “Picture Perfect,” which dropped last month.

He says all three agreed to leave the negativity in the past.

“I am truly excited to say that it’s a new day. There are a lot of old interviews out there that can reflect old negativity,” Juvie explained. “Luckily, in recent months, circumstances brought me and Cash Money back together and I was able to re-unite with members of my original crew. That’s why we all have decided to leave negativity in the past. I am truly looking forward to the future and to my future work with Baby, Lil Wayne, YMCMB and Cash Money. ‘Picture Perfect’ is the beginning and we have a lot more to come. Get ready!”
