NYC conscious rap vet, Talib Kweli, announced the official release date for what will be his fifth solo album, entitled Prisoner of Conscious.
The rapper shared the news via Twitter (@TalibKweli) on Monday (October 1), revealing a November 20th date.
“When it comes 2 greatness, I want it more than you don’t want me to have it. Wack rappers don’t phase me cuz I make the music I want to hear,” Kweli tweeted before sharing the release date.
The LP’s single, “Push Thru” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Curren$y, dropped back in July; and further singles are sure to follow soon. In addition to the aforementioned guests, the album is also expected to feature the likes of Nelly, Melanie Fiona, and Busta Rhymes.
Further details were unknown at press time.
Until then, fans can enjoy Kweli’s recently released mixtape with DJ Z-Trip, entitled Attack The Block, which boasts 18 tracks with guests such as Mac Miller, Lil Wayne, Ace Hood, Planet Asia, Black Thought, Jay Rock, Maino, and Das Racist, among others.
