German car-maker Audi has released an online mini-doc series, dubbed “Moments of Truth,” which offers a visual look into the impact that technological innovation and risk-taking has had on performance throughout its history.
Each clip in this three-video series tells a different story.
Clip #1 goes over Audi’s legendary longitudinally-mounted Audi 5-cylinder racing engine, used in the IMSA/GTO circuit in 1989 at Sears Point, talking about the how it led the Audi team to victory. In clip #2, viewers learn about how FSI technology led to the Audi Joest R8 victory at the 2001 24 Hours of LeMans.
And finally, in Clip #3, it’s the story of Audi ultra through the victory of the R18 at the 2011 24 Hours of LeMans, in which driver Benoît Tréluyer and engineer Leena Gade focus on Tréluyer’s incredible outside pass of the Peugeot car in the late stages of the race.
