Southern Cali-based brand Warrior of Radness, founded by Freshjive creator Rick Flotz, has sold the company to domestic clothing maker American Apparel.
WOR reps made the annoucement over the weekend, via an email entitled “We’ve Sold Out! The Battle is over but the WOR has just begun”.
“That’s right. We’ve sold our souls to the largest manufacturer of garments in the USA: My old friend Dov Charney and his American Apparel Company have adopted the the unruly West Coast bastard stepchild of California Style: Warriors of Radness,” the statement reads. “We now have the muscle of an almost $600 million dollar behemoth of garment manufacturing behind us. Eat you heart out.”
WOR also released a video (below), offering a little more about the deal, which features Klotz and American Apparel’s Dov Charney.
Further details about the deal, and what the future holds for WOR were unknown at press time.
