Wu founder RZA continues his run in the film industry, partnering with industry vet Reginald Hudlin to produce a series of comic-related film projects.
According to Deadline.com, the legendary hip-hop producer/rapper and Hudlin, former BET executive and producer of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, will work together on the unnamed series … at least one being in the superhero genre.
They are also discussing the possiblity of forming their own company together as well.
Hudlin wrote The Black Panther series for Marvel Comics from 2005 to 2008. The Black Panther character is a modern day African chief and past Avengers member in the Marvel universe, who has been long rumored as a possible feature as Marvel expands its successful onscreen properties.
RZA is currently set to make his feature directional debut in the upcoming martial arts film, The Man With The Iron Fists, which hits theaters on November 2nd.
Shot in China, the upcoming film was produced by Quentin Tarantino from a script by both Eli Roth and RZA. The rapper took center stage on both sides of the camera in the film, which co-stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu and Pam Grier, among others.
