Chris Brown earned his second #1 album on the Billboard 200 this week, with Fortune debuting atop the chart with 134,000 copies sold in its first week.
It’s the singer’s fifth album, and boasts production by The Runners, Tha Bizness, Polow Da Don and Drake affiliate Boi-1da. Fortune follows Brown’s last release, and first #1, 2011’s F.A.M.E., which started atop the Billbord 200 with more than double with 270,000.
Rick Ross’ Maybach Music compilation, Self Made 2, comes in at #2 this week, selling 35,000 to bring its total to 133,000 sold to date.
Later in the ranking, Flo Rida debuts at #14 with Wild Ones, selling 31,000 copies to start. The set is the Miami rapper’s fourth studio set, and is led by the title track single feature Sia.
Outside the top 20 releases, Mobb Deep’s Prodigy lands at #105, selling 4,000 copies of his independently released solo album, H.N.I.C. 3. The new album, released via his own Infamous imprint, features the likes of T.I., Wiz Khalifa and Mobb partner Havoc, as well as production from Alchemist, Sid Roams and Ty Fyffe.
