Machine Gun Kelly has been hard at work since signing with Bad Boy Records in August 2011, touring and landing guest appearances alongside the likes of DMX, and everything is so he can move toward the release of his forthcoming debut Lace Up.

The young Ohio spitter recently visited the offices of Global Grind, where he discusses the status of his upcoming debut, explaining that he’s been recording Lace Up before and after getting his deal. And ultimately, likens the project to 50 Cent’s buzzed about debut, calling it his Get Rich Or Die Tryin’.

MGK also talks about his “wild boy” image, and the things he doesn’t like about being famous.
