Stevie Williams, Lil Wayne Launch DGK & Trukfit Brands At Macy’s (Photos)

Veteran skateboarder pro Stevie Williams and hip-hop star Lil Wayne celebrated the launch of their respective clothing lines, DGK and Trukfit, at Macy’s on Saturday (June 2) with a meet-n-greet with fans at Los Angeles’ Beverly Center shopping mall.

Saturday, both DGK and Trukfit became available at select Macy’s stores across the country. The first 10 fans who purchased $150 worth of DGK and/or TRUKFIT apparel at Macy’s Beverly Center received a special skateboard from Williams along with admission to the exclusive VIP reception.

“It’s exciting to share this moment with my homie Lil Wayne and show the world skate fashion is cool,” said the skate pro.

His DGK brand was founded in 2002, an acronym standing for “Dirty Ghetto Kids” after his childhood skate crew. He built his brand based on the idea: “From those who come from nothing.” Inspired by the gritty, street skateboard culture, it features tees, hats, fleece and a complete streetwear collection, meshing hip-hop style with the urban skate lifestyle.

Weezy joined Stevie to unveil his Trukfit brand line, consisting of a selection of tees and hats for both men and boys.

“What Wayne and I are doing is bringing skate Culture inside of corporate entities where a lot of our fans shop and we’re proud to do this with Macy’s,” said Williams.
