Mobb Deep’s Prodigy recently discussed his relationship with G-Unit and its founder 50 Cent, saying their still on very good terms, despite the duo’s decision to leave and launch their own label.
Via an interview with VladTV, P explained his admiration for 50 Cent, while revealing how the legendary Queensbridge duo were able to leave G-Unit Records after just one album (2006’s Blood Money). He says Mobb Deep’s contract with G-Unit had a clause that allowed them to pick up and leave if the imprint was without distribution for a specified time frame. Although, Fif did discuss a new deal with them, ultimately, launching their own indie label was the best decision.
P also talked about Young Buck, admitting that he was feelin’ his past music, but could care less about him.
