Kanye West’s anticipated Air Yeezy 2 sneaker has been a hot topic ever since he was spotted wearing them in the Kobe Bryant/Robert Rodriguez online short, “The Black Mamba.” While official imagery hit the Internet in March, an official release date has yet to be revealed.
There was talk of an April date, but it came and no release.
Australian-based sneaker boutique/blog Laced.com says the April date was a “postponement”, and says they’ve confirmed a global release of June 9th for both colorways — the Wolf Grey/Pure Platinum and Black/Solar Red.
According to Laced.com, the Air Yeezy 2 will be extremely limited. Exact numbers in each market are unknown, but Laced says Australia will have less than 30 pairs of each colorway in the country. Rumored retail price: $350.
While Nike has yet to confirm the date, sources say the June date is it. Stay tuned…
