G.O.O.D. Music record artist Big Sean returned to Detroit recently, visiting local Lincoln High School to serve as Principal for a Day.

During the day, he popped his head into classrooms and even gave a performance. Sean spoke to students about the importance of education, as part of the Get Schooled campaign, revealing that when he attended Cass Technical High School as a teen, he graduated with a 3.7 GPA and was offered a scholarship to Michigan State University.

“One of my New Year’s resolutions was to be more involved, especially in education,” Sean told local news station ABC 7 WXYZ. “So this was a perfect way to get involved with the school and it’s tight to see the kids so excited.”

Also during Sean’s day as principal, he called on Royce Da 5’9 who performed “Lighters” for the excited students.
