Following the release of the Japanese trailer online in April, studios drop the second official trailer for the upcoming superhero blockbuster, “The Amazing Spider-Man.” The new film, which features actor Andrew Garfield in the lead role of Peter Parker, is a Spider-Man reboot that doesn’t continue the previously released series directed by Sam Raimi.
The new trailer shows the inner-conflict Parker has with being a regular person with people he loves, and the superhero that protects the city. Obviously, Peter was raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, so in his story, he has yearning to “find the truth” about his parents… which leads to him giving the power to an unexpected adversary, The Lizard.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” also stars Emma Stone (playing Peter Parker’s early girlfriend Gwen Stacy), along with Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard. It is slated to hit theaters July 3.
