Tech N9ne protégé, Krizz Kaliko, is preparing for the release of his new album album, titled Kickin’ & Screamin’, coming later this month.
The set is the raper/singer’s fourth solo set, and explores his internal battles that belie his calm demeanor. It will feature the likes of T-Pain on the relationship expose “Dumb For You”, and Tech N9ne Twista on the lyrical lead single, “Kill Sh**.”
In support of the upcoming release Krizz will be releasing a series of music video prior to the release of the album, including clips for “Hello Walls” and “Mayday.”
That type of output speaks to Krizz’s impeccable work ethic, the high quality of his music and the rabid nature of his fans.
“I’m always trying to be more elite with the rhymes and with my singing, with the wordplay, the method I use to write my lyrics, making my hooks bigger,” he says. “I think a lot of my fans appreciate that. Doing that is going to make each project better and better and will make me grow as an artist.”
Always refining his craft, Krizz Kaliko is currently on tour with Tech N9ne and Machine Gun Kelly as part of the groundbreaking “Hostile Takeover 2012” Tour, which consists of 90 shows in 99 days, making it the longest consecutive tour in rap history.
Kickin’ & Screamin’ is slated to drop May 15th.
Krizz initially met Tech N9ne while the indie rap giant was working on his Anghellic album more than decade ago. Since then, Krizz has become one of genre’s most compelling artists, rapping and singing with equal potency about his struggles with vitiligo, insecurity and bipolar disorder, as well as his love for his wife and family.
