Although the NBA is in full playoff mode, the Nets are looking forward to next season, because they will leave New Jersey in the rear view for their new home, Brooklyn.
The team just dropped a 30-second Internet clip (above), dubbed “Hello Brooklyn,” which offers the organization’s excitement over the move. The clip’s title obviously gives a not-so-subtle reminder that Jay-Z is a minority owner, and showcases the history and tradition associated with Brooklyn athletics, as well as a look at the new Barclay’s Center arena.
Additionally, the Nets have unveiled their new logo (see below), set to represent them in the 2012-2013 season. They use a simplistic design and color, utilizing a black and white color scheme paired with graphics reminisces of an old-school ABA vibe.
The new Brooklyn Nets logo was reportedly design by minority owner Jay-Z and inspired by the New York city subway signs from 1957.
