Lakers Forward Jordan Hill Charged With Felony Assault

Jordan HillLos Angeles Lakers forward, Jordan Hill, has been charged with felony assault, stemming from an incident in Texas earlier this year.

According to ESPN, the 24-year-old NBA player allegedly choked a family member back in late February during an altercation in Texas.

The charge was recently filed by the Harris County District Attorney in Houston. However details about the assault -- including who was involved -- were unknown at press time.

If convicted, Hill could face up to 10 years in prison, and a $10,000 fine.

His camp has yet to comment on the situation.

Hill was traded to the Lakers in mid-March, as part of the trade that sent Derek Fisher to Houston.

As word of the charge spread, two messages were posted on Hill's Twitter account Monday (April 30) (@JordanChill43): "Wowwwww," and "Unbelievable!!!!!!!!"
