The first full-length trailer dropped earlier this year, and over the weekend an over two-minute Japanese trailer hit the web for the upcoming “Amazing Spider-Man” movie.
The film is still over two months away, but the new trailer gives more insight into the backstory behind Peter Parker (played by Andrew Garfield), emphasizing on the complex dynamic between he and Dr. Curt Connors (played by Rhys Ifans), who eventually becomes the film’s villain, The Lizard.
With the familiar “with great power comes great responsibility” theme, the clip shows how Parker gives Conners a formula which transforms him into The Lizard … and from there, it’s Spider Man’s responsibility to stop him. Also in the trailer, viewers get a first glimpses of actors Martin Sheen and Sally Field who play Peter’s beloved uncle Ben and aunt May.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” is due in theaters July 3rd.
