The entire music industry is gearing up for 2012 SXSW festivities in Austin, Texas this month … and Shady Records has announced probably one of the biggest showcases this year — their Shady 2.0 Showcase.
While Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf are set to take the stage along others, it’s 50 Cent who is headlining for a historic performance of his Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ debut.
The hip-hop mogul will take the stage at the show to perform his landmark debut album in its entirety for the first time.
Taking place at the Austin Music Hall, the Shady SXSW Showcases takes place on March 16th.
It will also features performances by newcomers like Big K.R.I.T., Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Don Trip, STS and The Foodchain. And, MTV’s Sway will play host.
50 Cent’s dropped his Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ debut in 2003, catapulting him into hip-hop stardom. It’s since hit 8X platinum sales, and isthe fourth best-selling rap album in history.
