AtmosphereMurs has things on lock in Southern California, as far as independent hip-hop goes, with his annual Paid Dues Hip-Hop Festival. But in the midwest, the Rhymesayers camp kicks off the summer every year with their annual Soundset Festival, which they've recently announced will go down in late May.

The fifth annual festival is set to bring fans in Shakopee, MN nine hours of hip-hop music, when they roll into town on May 27th.

This year's event has a long list of artists already confirmed, including: Rhymesayers' own Atmosphere, Lupe Fiasco, Ghostface Killah & Raekwon, Kendrick Lamar, Aesop Rock, P.O.S., 2012 XXL Freshman Class member Macklemore along with Ryan Lewis, Big K.R.I.T., Action Bronson, DJ Premier, and the list goes on.

Hosted by Brother Ali, MaLLy, and J Pratt, this year's festival follows 2011, which boasted over 20,000 attendees and two stages with over 40 artists performing.

This year, Rhymesayers expects the event to be even bigger.

Since headlining Soundset 2011, Atmosphere has had a very successful year with their latest album, The Family Sign. They've sold out their American and European tours, had performances at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, as well as two sold out headlining appearances at Red Rocks.

Raekwon & Ghostface Killah appear courtesy of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan and will be performing both new material and the classics; while Lupe Fiasco graces the Soundset stage by performing fan favorites such as "The Show Goes On", "Superstar" and "Kick Push" off his critically acclaimed albums, Food & Liquor, The Cool and Lasers.

Additionally four XXL Freshmen alums will also premiere to the festival including rising star Kendrick Lamar, as he continues his huge year since the release of his acclaimed Section.80 album: Big K.R.I.T., who just dropped his brand new mixtape 4EvaNaDay; Macklemore & Danny Brown, five of the best young MCs currently in the game.

With options of two main stages and the Fifth Element stage, delivering over 40 artists performing nine hours of diverse music, an expanded B-Boy/B-Girl DJ tent, live painting exhibit, skate demo area, fifth annual Soundset custom car show with over 200 cars and a special Last of the Record Buyers live production showcase, Soundset's Fifth Anniversary is guaranteed to provide fun for fans.

Tickets are set to go on sale Saturday (March 10) at 11am local time, via TicketWeb.com and Fifth Element.
