While Adele continued her #1 streak, hitting her 15th week atop the Billboard 200 with 21, while no new releases cracked to top rankings of the list.
Drake lands at #2 this week, shifting 42,000 copies of Take Care. To date, he’s sold nearly 1.3 million domestically.
Young Jeezy’s TM103: Hustlerz Ambition slips from #3-4 with 36,000, while Rihanna’s Talk That Talk climbs from #9-6 with 27,000.
Later, LMFAO’s Sorry for Party Rocking falls three spots to #8 with 25,000, taking them to just under 550,000 sold to date.
At #17 this week is Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV, selling 17,000, as it nears double-platinum sales. And, closing out the top 20 is Jay and Kanye’s Watch The Throne, selling around 17,000.
Outside to top tier, The Roots and Childish Gambino cracks 100,000 on the latest albums.
The Roots’ undun sold 6,400 this week, coming in at #64, and hitting 101,000 copies shifted. At #90 was Childish Gambino’s Camp, selling 4,900 copies and taking the LP’s told to 104,000.

According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Jan. 8, 2012) totaled 5.80 million units, down 25% compared to the sum last week (7.71 million) and up 7% compared to the comparable sales week of 2011 (5.44 million). Year to date album sales stand at 5.80 million, up 7% compared to the same total at this point last year (5.44 million).
