More details in the shooting death of emerging Atlanta rapper Slim Dunkin has surfaced. Apparently, the whole incident, which led to his death, stemmed from an argument … over candy.
According to WSBTV, the 24-year-old rapper (real name: Mario Hamilton) grabbed some candy from another man, the two got into an argument, which then escalated into a physical altercation.
Dunkin, who stands at 6’8″, was said to have gotten the upper hand in the fight, and that’s when the other man retrieved a gun and shot him.
The rapper was in the studio recording music, but the building was packed that evening because another artist was there shooting a music video.
Dunkin is known as an affiliate of Waka Flocka’s Brick Squad crew, releasing two joint mixtapes with Waka titled Twin Towers and was featured on Gucci Mane’s new V-Nasty assisted LP BAYTL.
There will be a public memorial viewing for Slim Dunkin’s friends, family and fans on Thursday (December 22) at the Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home (located at 1003 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd, Atlanta) 6pm to 9pm.
