Brick Squad Affiliate Slim Dunkin Fatally Shot In Atlanta

Slim DunkinSlim Dunkin, an artist on Waka Flocka's Bricksquad Monopoly label, was shot and killed on Friday (December 16) while shooting a music video at an Atlanta recording studio.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the 24-year-old rapper (real name: Mario Hamilton) was at an unnamed recording studio where a music video was being filmed when a he became involved in an argument with the unknown shooter at around 5:30 pm.

The shouting match escalated and a man reportedly pulled a handgun and shot Slim in the chest.

Slim was transported to nearby Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

"It appears the victim was scheduled to do a photo shoot. Before the video shoot took place, it appears the victim and suspect got involved in a verbal altercation. We don't know what that altercation was about," Police Maj. Keith Meadows told the Associated Press

"The suspect produced a weapon, discharged that handgun one time, striking the victim in the chest," he added.

Reports say there was around 13-20 people in the building. However, the shooter has not been identified.

An investigation is currently underway.

Earlier this year, the rapper released his second joint mixtape with Georgia rap star Waka Flocka, titled Twin Towers 2. Dunkin was also featured on two tracks off Gucci and Waka's collaborative LP, Ferrari Boyz LP, and is currently a featured guest on Gucci's latest joint project with V-Nasty, titled BAYTL.
