Album Charts: Trey Songz Lands Highest Debut With ‘Inevitable’ EP

Trey Songz - Inevitable EPMichael Buble’s Christmas album leads all releases for the second week in a row atop the Billboard 200, while Drake, Mary J. Blige and Rihanna continue to hang on to the top 10 … and Trey Songz makes his debut as well.

Drake’s Take Care lands at #4 with 90,000 sold this week, as he nears 900,000 sales to date; Blige’s My Life II: The Journey Continues comes in at #6 with 72,000 sold; and Rihanna’s Talk That Talk comes in at #7 with 68,000 this week to bring her over 250,000 sold thus dar.

Outside the top 20 is Trey Songz and Curren$y’s group Jet Life.

Songz landed the highest debut this week with his Inevitable landing at #23 with 27,000 sold.

Much later, is Jet Life’s Jet World Order at #148, selling 4,200 copies to start. The group includes Trademark Da Skydiver, former No Limit Records and Ruff Ryders artist Fiend, Corner Store P, Monsta Beatz, Young Roddy and Smoke DZA. The LP features guest spots from Big K.R.I.T. and Nesby Phips.

According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Dec. 4) totaled 8.06 million units, down 18% compared to the sum last week (9.78 million) and down 13% compared to the comparable sales week of 2010 (9.22 million).
