The deal has been in the works for nearly a year, but it’s official now, “Jersey Shore” reality star DJ Pauly D has inked a deal with 50 Cent’s G-Note Records.
According to the Associated Press, Pauly D signed with Fif’s label on Thursday (December 1), an arm of his G-Unit empire which focuses on dance and pop music.
50 Cent said Pauly D was a “great addition to G-Note and G-Unit family” and called him smart and creative.
The Rhode Island-bred DJ has been DJing since he was a teenager, but landed a break when he was picked for MTV’s hit reality show, “Jersey Shore,” which he parlayed into a success music career as an in-demand DJ.
This year, Pauly D joined Britney Spears’ “Femme Fatal” tour as an opening act, alongside Nicki Minaj.
At press time, it was unclear when Paul’s G-Note Records debut was due out.
