Smoke DZA

Smoke DZAWelcome the second new signing to Curren$y’s Jet Life Recordings, Harlem rapper Smoke DZA.

It was only on Sunday (October 23) that we reported The Cool Kids’ Sir Michael Rocks had signed to the label, now Spitta has inked another long-time friend in the Kushed God.

Announced through Twitter early Wednesday (October 26), Curren$y (@Currensy_Spitta) wrote: “Well its late, but not to late to pop a bottle for @smokedza joining the set… J.L.R… Now to turn this bus into a celebration station.”

Curren$y and Smoke DZA have worked (and, no doubt, smoked) together numerous times, most recently on “Personal Party” from DZA’s Rolling Stoned project, which was released this summer. The pair also shared the stage during this year’s Smokers Club Tour.

Now, they will work together regularly as labelmates.

Curren$y, who was signed to Master P’s No Limit Records and Lil Wayne’s Cash Money label early on in his career, has seen a resurgence in popularity in the last few years, and looks to capitalize through his own Jet Life Recordings imprint.

The formation of Curren$y, Sir Michael Rocks and Smoke DZA opens the door for some exciting collaborations.
