Following two seizure episodes last Friday (October 14), as he attempted to fly from Florida to Memphis for a scheduled performance, details about rapper Rick Ross ‘ current status is unknown.
However, a new report suggests the Miami rap star is still recovering.
According to TMZ, Rozay had a scheduled performance in Los Angeles this coming weekend, but has rescheduled the show until … 2012, so he can focus on his recovery.
Ross, 35, suffered two separate seizures last Friday aboard planes en route for Memphis.
The first took place shortly after take-off, rendering the rapper unconsious. Airport EMTs placed Ross on a gurney and administered CPR, before transporting him to a hospital. Eventually, he was released, and everyone thought he was ok.
He attempted to travel again. This time, Ross boarded a private jet, and sometime after 5 PM EST, he suffered yet another seizure. The jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Birmingham, Alabama, where Ross was hospitalized and forced to cancel his performances that evening.
Ross eventually made it to Memphis sometime over the weekend, appearing in a photo (tweeted by MMG affiliates, DJ Khaled and DJ Sam Sneaker) at his Wingstop restaurant grand opening. In it, he is seen wearing a sling on his arm.
His current status is unknown, and he’s been absent from Twitter since last week.
Promoters for his Los Angeles concert tell TMZ that they believe Ross needs more time to get better, so they contacted his camp and both sides agreed to reschedule the L.A. performance to January.
“Pushing [Ross] to do a show that he was not prepared to do was not beneficial to anyone,” the promoters said.
