Buzzing Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar heads to New York to show the Big Apple some love for a brand new music video for a track called “A.D.H.D.”, off his recently released mixtape Section.80.
Shot in NYC and directed by Va$htie, the clip was inspired by the song’s dark beat and melancholy lyrics, which explore a generation in conflict. According to the director, Lamar illustrates the song’s universal and age-old theme of apathetic youth.
Presented by clothing brand, Rock Smith, Kendrick and some friends hit the liquor at the beginning of the clip to pick up some goodies, and then hangs out front … before hopping on his bike and heading off to an empty office building to meet up with some females … goofing around along the way.
Section.80 is out now.
