Pac Div’s Like Goes Vegetarian, Members Team Up With peta2

Pac Div goes veg

Pac Div goes vegWhen Like — known as one-third of the rap trio Pac Div — lost a young cousin to high blood pressure, he knew that he had to do something about his own lifestyle.

He’s drastically changed his eating habits, adopting a vegetarian lifestyle.

After watching Food, Inc. and reading Diet for a New America, the MC decided to make the shift toward a healthy, plant-based diet. Now, he — along with bandmates Mibbs and BeYoung — is starring in a new video for peta2, in which the trio sing the praises of Like’s new style of eating.

“I can think a little better, think a little more clear. I don’t get … groggy feelings after I eat,” Like said of his new diet. “I feel … more energetic, for sure. … Listen to your body. Listen to how it reacts when you eat certain foods. … I think, at the end, … you’ll benefit.”

According to the American Dietetic Association, vegetarians are less prone to heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity than meat-eaters are. Meat production also causes massive animal suffering and is a leading cause of greenhouse-gas emissions, water pollution, and land degradation.

Pac Div joins a long list of musicians — including Masta Killa, Steve Aoki, Kid Sister, The Cool Kids, and more — who have teamed up with peta2 to fight animal abuse.

peta2 is the world’s largest youth animal rights organization who “takes on anyone who abuses animals,” according to their website.
