Singer Jennifer Hudson was hospitalized early Friday morning (June 10), moments before she was scheduled to hit the stage for a live performance for CBS’ “The Early Show” Outdoor Concert Series.
The singer canceled the show after experiencing “severe abdominal pain,” reports TMZ.
A rep for the sick singer told photographers and eager fans waiting for the show that Hudson was “unable to perform” and had been taken to hospital to seek treatment for stomach issues.
A rep for Hudson announced later Friday that she “was treated for food poisoning and released.”
Earlier that same morning, before her CBS gig, Hudson took to the stage as scheduled for “Good Morning America’s” Summer Concert Series.
After the Central Park show, she was on her way across Manhattan to CBS studios for her next performance when she fell ill and had to detour to a hospital.
