Miami rapper Flo Rida was busted on a DUI charge early Thursday morning (June 9), after police caught him driving drunk in Miami Beach.
The 31-year-old rapper (real name: Tramar Dillard) was cruising in a red-and-black Bugatti Veyron — valued at $1.7 million — when police spotted him swerving, reports TMZ.
Cops pulled him over at around 3:30 a.m., and detected a strong odor of alcohol, so Flo Rida was given a field sobriety test … and didn’t pass. The officer asked him to do a “walk the line” test, and Flo told the cop, “Officer I can’t do this. I don’t feel I can walk a straight line. I had a few drinks. Let’s try another test.”
Police said a large crowd gathered around Flo after cops had pulled him over, and several bystanders were “trying to get officers to let [Flo Rida] go. Some individuals were offering to drive [Flo] home.”
Flo, himself, even tried to convince the officer to let him go. “I can make it home,” he said.
After running the rapper’s name, the officer learned he had a suspended license. Flo was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI, and registered a blood alcohol level of .185 … more than twice the legal limit.
