After three long years of releasing mixtapes, touring and keeping his music in fans’ faces, Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth is finally gearing up for the release of his third solo album, later this month.
The album, titled Street King, features the Houston rap vet spitting alongside the likes of Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, The Game, Wale, Lupe Fiasco, as well as members of his ABN Gang, to name a few.
Production-wise, Drumma Boy, Mr. Rogers, Mr. Inkredible, and others contributed.
“June 28th, I’d like to welcome you to the streets. You can’t get down without me,” Trae says in the trailer for the upcoming album. “It’s been over a three-year wait for this. I am the ‘street king.’ Let’s go.”
Trae will be traveling promoting the album all this month. He will be performing in New York on June 20th, and will cap things off with an album release concert at Houston’s House of Blues on Street King’s release date, June 28th, alongside friends Wacka Flocka, Jadakiss, Lupe Fiasco and Yung Joc.
