Flavor Flav was behind bars over the weekend, after being busted in Las Vegas on several warrants.
According to TMZ, Flav (real name: William Jonathan Drayton, Jr.) was pulled over late Friday evening (April 30) for a routine traffic violation. However, when police ran his name, four warrants for his arrest turned up in the system.
Apparently, Flav never settled previous automobile-related matters with the court — including driving without proof of insurance, a parking violation, and two cases of driving without a license.
The rapper/reality TV star was arrested, booked at a nearby jail, took mugshots and was eventually released.
Flav addressed the incident on Twitter Monday (May 2), claiming the arresting officer was a rookie looking to make a name for himself.
“I was on my home from Benihana’s I got pulled over by a curious Rookie Ass Cop,” Flav tweeted (@FlavorFlav). “He found out I had a traffic warrant wanted to make a name for him. At least, I cleared up my sh**…some people are still on the run!”
At press time, how much he owes in fines were unknown.
