Rhymesayers Entertainment announced this week the 2011, fourth annual Soundset Festival, a nine-hour indie music festival kicking off May 29th in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Confirmed artists for Soundset 2011 include: Atmosphere, Big Boi, De La Soul, Slaughterhouse, Brother Ali, Doomtree (P.O.S, Dessa, Sims, Cecil Otter, Mike Mictlan, Lazerbeak, Papertiger), Dilated Peopes, Mac Miller, Curren$y, Blueprint, Grieves & Budo, Zion I & The Grouch, Sab The Artist, DJ Abilities, and many more.
In 2010, Rhymesayers and Rose Presents produced the third year of Soundset to an outdoor festival setting at Canterbury Park with over 18,000 people in attendance. The event included two stages with over 40 artists performing, b-boy battles, MC battle, live DJs, live artists painting, skateboard demos and a custom car show.
The companies feel the 2011 installment will be their biggest yet yet.
After their sold out “To All My Friends and Welcome to Minnesota” tours, Atmosphere returns this year to the Soundset mainstage in support of their upcoming April 12th album release, The Family Sign. On the heels of his successful and critically acclaimed release, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, Big Boi brings his legendary live show and catalog to the Twin Cities. And Slaughterhouse will perform together in Minnesota for the first time in two years.
Tickets for Soundset 2011 go on sale Friday (April 1) to the general public through TicketWeb.com and Fifth Element. General admission tickets are $38, but VIP options are also available!
