Since Nate Dogg’s untimely passing last week, many within the hip-hop community has expressed their condolences for the late Long Beach, Calif. legend. However, it’s been the artists he came into the game with, who have held him down the most, including Warren G, The Dogg Pound, and of course, Snoop Dogg.
Late Friday night (March 25), a day before his public service, Snoop headed to downtown Los Angeles to meet with the legendary Mister Cartoon at his private studio to honor his fallen friend … for life, via a permanent tattoo.
Big Snoop paid homage with a piece on his left inner-forearm, which features a portrait of Nate Dogg wearing a bandana tied to the front, with the phrase “All Doggs go to Heaven” featured underneath in Cartoon’s trademark script lettering.
“Tha tattoo u been waitin to see. My brother Nate Dogg by Mister Cartoon,” Snoop tweeted (@SnoopDogg), accompanied by a picture.
The piece is definitely a perfect way to remember his late friend forever. Rest in peace, Nate Dogg.
