Before guys like Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders played in two different professional sports, there was legendary MLB and NBA pro, Gene Conley.
During the 1950s, Conley, now 80, played several seasons in both Major League Baseball and the NBA. He’s recognized today as the “only person to win championships in two of the four major American sports,” according to Wikipedia.
He earned a World Series title with Milwaukee Braves in 1957, and won three NBA championships with the Boston Celtics from 1959-61.
Complex.com recently found Conley’s shoes for sale on eBay. User Vivid.Vintage boasts a pair of 1950s, low-top Converse All-Stars, worn in games and signed by the legendary athlete Conley.
