Pitbull announced this week a partnership with Voli light vodkas, the world’s first line of low calorie vodkas, in which the Miami rapper has become a major equity owner of the company and will be an official spokesperson and ambassador for its light vodkas brand.
“I am extremely excited to be partnering with Voli light vodkas and to hold a significant ownership position in this great brand,” said the rapper in a statement. “I knew this was great vodka when I overheard some ladies talking about it while they were drinking. I asked them about it and they told me it was some of the smoothest, most delicious vodka they’d ever had, PLUS it was low calorie vodka. That’s when I tried it and fell in love.
“Next thing you know, we are business partners! I am excited to watch this brand explode and to be a central part of its success,” Pitbull continued.
Voli comes in five fusion flavors, and boasts itself as the “first ever line of super premium, low calorie vodkas,” which boasts electrolytes. The line are artisan works produced in Cognac, France from French wheat, pure spring water, and natural flavors. The vodkas are five times distilled and four times filtered.
With Pitbull’s involvement, Voli hopes to reach the platinum artist’s fanbase and tap into the Hispanic market in a way that no other brand is equipped to reach.

Voli light vodkas are available most major cities around the U.S., and is expected to be available nationwide by fall 2011.
