Nate Dogg, who has graced the hooks of countless hit singles over the years, suffered two strokes, one in 2007 and another in 2008, both of which had left him partially paralyzed. At the time, reports indicated that the strokes may have been caused by an “unhealthy lifestyle”, such as bad eating habits, among other things.

Since then, longtime friend Warren G had given a few updates on Nate Dogg’s condition. The most recent coming in November 2010, when he explained that the singer was undergoing extensive therapy to re re-learn basic movements, as well as speech, but said he was progressing.

In a tweet on Sunday (March 13), Warren G echoed those remarks, saying Nate was still in therapy. “For those that dont know awhile back nate had 2 strokes he is in therapy thanks again for your support,” the rapper wrote (@Regulator).

Apparently, something tragic happened before Nate could recover fully.

The BallerStatus staff would like send our condolences to his family and friends. May Nate rest in peace.
