Jay-Z and BeyonceDespite saying — on camera — that Detox was coming on 4/20, a release date for Dr. Dre’s long awaited album has never been officially announced. But, it’s still one of the most anticipated for 2011, following the release of two music videos, which further build the anticipation.

Like most Dre releases, fans can almost definitely expect some high profile collaborations. But outside of Eminem, Snoop Dog, and possibly 50 Cent, who else will be featured on Detox?

If a recent report by UK’s The Sun is true, fans might get a collaboration by Jay-Z alongside wifey Beyonce, which would be the couple’s first together in nearly five years.

An unnamed source told The Sun that both Jay-Z and Dre have recorded their verses, and the chorus as been “left open for Beyoncé to sing.”

“The producer has worked on Detox for over a decade. He wanted the couple together,” said the source.

The last time that Jay and B appeared on the same track together was on Jay’s 2007 album, American Gangster, on the track “Pray,” but the singer contributed a spoken word part instead of singing. Before that, though, the biggest hits of their careers were done together — including Beyoncé’s breakout solo single, “Crazy in Love”, and Jay’s “03 Bonnie & Clyde”.

To date, Dre has released music videos for the singles, “Kush” featuring Snoop Dogg and Akon, and “I Need A Doctor” featuring Eminem.

A release date has not been announced.
