Singer Bobby Brown is reportedly in talks on a movie with Tony Testa, a rapper with blood ties to the mob.
According to the New York Post, the film will be based on Testa’s Brooklyn family connection to notorious Gambino crime-family members, the Demeo Crew. But, Brown’s involvement is not known at this time.
The popular 80s singer was spotted dining with Testa, “Sopranos” star Joe Gannascoli and Chuck Zito in New York, reportedly discussing a possible role in the unnamed movie.
It will also star actor Armand Assante, who played an Italian mob boss in the 2007 film “American Gangster.”
According to the paper, the film’s story will be based on Testa’s Uncle Patty, who transferred to the Lucchese family and was murdered in 1992. Testa’s uncle, Joseph Carmine Testa, is serving life in the same prison as Bernie Madoff.
