The-Dream is the latest in a long line of musicians hopping into the realm of personal audio devices, whether it be headphones — like Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, and 50 Cent — or portable speakers, which the singer has signed on to do.
Dream recently announced a partnership with Jerboa Audio/Aionia to release a signature line of special edition The-Dream Eclectic Speakers, featuring quality sound in a small package.
The line of speakers are compact, boasting seven hours of playback with a maximized passive woofer and tweeters, 80db sound in an extremely sleek, cigar-sized aluminum casting.
“Jerboa Speakers offer the best in both design and performance for those seeking cutting-edge lifestyle accessories,” the company’s website says.
“When I learned about the Jerboa speakers, I was excited to help develop a product that pushed out a great sound from a speaker the size of a cigar,” The-Dream explained of the partnership. “We are extraordinarily proud of the woofer. It’s a whole lot of sound packed into a very sleek package.”
Dream’s Special Edition Eclectic speakers are compatible with all computers, popular mobile devices like the iPod, iPhone, iPad, and Blackberry, as well as other music devices and MP3 players. It uses a 3.5mm (headphone) jack, and is available in either silver and/or black.
It retails for $149.99.
