Kanye West Upset Over ‘Today’ Show Interview, Says He’s Done With Media

11/11/2010 Staff

Kanye West TwitterSince re-surfacing earlier this year, Kanye West has been pretty cordial with the media, and has been making his rounds as of late promoting his upcoming My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy album.

But, that all may come to an end … following a recent interview with the “Today” show.

The rapper hopped on Twitter on Tuesday (November 9) to express his frustrations with the “Today” show for playing his interview over images of his infamous Taylor Swift incident.

“While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the ‘MTV’ under me with audio!!!!!!!” West wrote (@KanyeWest). “I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the ‘Today’ Show … and that’s a very nice way for me to put it! … HE TRIED TO FORCE MY ANSWERS. IT WAS VERY BRUTAL AND I CAME THERE WITH ONLY POSITIVE INTENT.”

Due to the way things turned out in the show’s interview, West — is once again — through with the media. At least, for the time being, he said as he continued his rant on Twitter.

“I feel very alone very used very tortured very forced very misunderstood very hollow very very misused,” West continued. “I don’t trust anyone but myself! Everyone has an agenda. I don’t do press anymore. I can’t be everything to everybody anymore … I can’t be everybody’s hero and villain savior and sinner Christian and anti Christ! … I can’t take anymore advice!!! I create, I’m creative, I have a good heart, everyone will see and understand one day.”

The show aired on Thursday (November 11), and interviewer Matt Lauer addressed Kanye’s comments, saying that “Today” didn’t do anything out of the normal during his interview and is confused as to why the rapper us upset.

“It’s something we do every day when a guest is talking about an incident or a location, we run video of that location or that incident,” Lauer said during the show. “There was nothing improper about it, nothing unusual about it whatsoever.”
