Singer Omarion is the latest celebrity to feel the wrath of Uncle Sam, reportedly owing the IRS upwards of $110,000 in unpaid taxes.
According to The Detroit News, the 25-year-old singer (real name: Omari Ismael Grandberry) owes $110,585 in unpaid taxes dating back to 2003.
In May, the IRS filed a $35,210 lien in Orange County against Omarion, a $25,660 lien in October 2009, and a $49,715 filed in the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds in August of 2009.
The liens in Orange County list the address of his $1.5 million home in Ladera Ranch, California, which was featured in an episode of “MTV Cribs” (see MTV.com for the episode).
He reportedly failed to pay income taxes in 2003, 2005 and 2006, and also filed for bankruptcy in January, but the case was later dismissed.
Omari isn’t the only celebrity facing financial problems. In recent months, celebrities such as Young Buck, Wyclef Jean, Diddy, Swizz Beatz, and several others popped up on the news for owing debts to the IRS.
