This week’s Billboard 200 is ruled by rock bands — the Zac Brown Band lands the top spot, while Maroon 5’s third album comes in as the runner up and Linkin Park falls from no. 1 last week to no. 3 this week with A Thousand Suns.
But, there’s atill a little hip-hop and R&B in the top tier.
Eminem slides from no. 3 to no. 6 this week with Recovery, still selling a respectable 66,000 to take his total to over 2.6 million sold. Last week’s no. 2-placer, Trey Songz’s Passion, Pain & Pleasure drops to no. 7 with 66,000.
The collaboration album from John Legend and the Roots, Wake Up!, bows at no. 8 in its first week, selling 63,000. It’s the fifth straight top 10 album for Legend (his entire output) and the sixth for The Roots.
And, Drake closes out the top 20 at no. 20 wth Thank Me Later, scanning 15,000 copies

According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Sept. 26) totaled 5.03 million units, down 6% compared to the sum last week (5.35 million) and down15% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009 (5.93 million).
