Paul WallThe usually happy, cheesing Paul Wall got a little crazy over the weekend during a show in Texas, when he beat a fan in the crowd with his mic.

The Houston rapper was performing onstage at the Low Low Car Show in San Antonio, Texas with Slim Thug, when a fan in the front row flipped him off. It angered Paul, who began thumping him with his mic.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Paul is seen bent over, exchanging words with a fan in front row. Then, outta nowhere, he begins smacking the fan with his mic.

Others onstage quickly pulled Paul Wall away before it got serious, and then, over the mic called for security.

TMZ says the fan was tossed from the show, and as of press time, there's been no police report filed.

Update: In a statement released to TMZ, Paul says, "I want to sincerely apologize to my San Antonio Fans ... for allowing myself to become distracted during my recent performance."

Paul continues, "I apologize for temporarily taking my eyes off that goal. I will learn and grow from this incident and be a better person, artist and performer as a result."
