Car audio giant Audiobahn announced this week a promotional collaboration and sponsorship agreement with Watts rapper Glasses Malone.
As part of the deal, the rapper will be highlighted in Audiobahn’s website re-launch and 2011 product catalog.
Additionally, Glasses will collaborate with the company in the coming months with CD music samplers and a consumer contest for the release of his next album.
“Glasses Malone represents the next wave of great rappers from the West Coast,” says Mark Quest of Raindeo | Beautiful, the marketing agency for Audiobahn. “We believe that this collaboration with Glasses is perfectly in-line with the brand’s marketing direction and will be embraced by the Audiobahn audience who are avid fans of west coast rap.”
Glasses’ path to success began when he was discovered by the same record executive that found The Game. He entered the scene in 2003 with The Crack Mixtape, and followed in 2005 with classic, White Lightnin (Sticks) tape.
After forgoing many other labels, Malone signed with Sony Records in 2005 with an unprecedents seven-figure deal. However, he severed ties with the label over a year later, and signed with Mack 10’s Hoo Bangin’ imprint, via Cash Money Records.
His most recent collaborations include tracks with the likes of Mack 10, Birdman, T-Pain, Rick Ross, Jay Rock, Red Café and hip-hop supergroup, Slaughterhouse.
Glasses is currently prepping his long awaited debut, Beach Cruiser, set to drop at the end of the year.
