The Twitter feud that erupted between Soulja Boy and Fabolous late Monday evening (September 6) came to an end pretty quickly without any major incident.
The pair phoned in to DJ Clue’s Power 105 radio show in New York, putting an end to the quarrel before it turned into anything serious.
It started when Soulja Boy let off a barrage of tweet disses toward Fab late Monday and early Tuesday morning (September 7) after catching wind of a freestyle the New York rapper dropped during a visit to Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex.
During the freestyle, Fab dropped references toward a much-talked-about Internet clip in which famed hip-hop groupie Kat Stacks taped herself in a hotel room she claimed was Soulja Boy’s … and on a table in the room was white powder she alleged was cocaine belonging to the young MC.
From there, Soulja Boy went off, sending threats Fab’s way, via Twitter (@SouljaBoy), threatening to end his career and even punch him if he saw him publicly.
“RIP @myfabolouslife … It’s over for you n**** @myfabolouslife,” Soulja Boy wrote. “I hope your ready bitch @myfabolouslife. … I swear to God, on my life next time I see you umma punch you dead in yo face n**** @myfabolouslife.”
Fab followed with some tweets of his own (@MyFabolousLife), poking fun at Soulja’s alleged coke habit in a series of tweets like the following: “#SouljasCokeHabit made him talk shit about me on twitter. Then he sobered up, and deleted the tweets #TypicalCokeHeadShit”
On Wednesday night (September 8), both Fab and Soulja Boy phoned into Power 105, and on the air admitted everything was a misunderstanding.
“I thought that he was taking shots at me, when it was just jokes. It was a misunderstanding, a miscommunication,” Soulja Boy explained. “I’m about making money.”
“We’re not trying to make a LeBron special … we smoothed it out and back to the money,” he said. “I know people thought it was going to be a [Manny] Pacquiao fight, but we sat down like bosses.”
So there you go, no fist fights, disses back and forth. Looks like the beef is dead.
