Snoop DoggMany rappers have been releasing sequels to their classic albums. You had Raekwon with Only Built For Cuban Linx 2, then C-N-N with War Report 2, and now, Snoop Dogg is ready to drop a sequel … to his hip-hop classic, Doggystyle.

Via a Twitvid, the Long Beach rapper revealed to fans that he and producer Swizz Beatz have been in the studio, working on 18 tracks for what will be Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary, the sequel to his 1993 debut classic of the same title.

“The album is Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary,” Be on the lookout for it, you bitch,” Snoop said in the clip. “[Swizz] just laced my boots up for my new record. Motherf***er gave me some gangsta sh**, some Crips sh**, some R&B sh**, some hip-hop sh**, some hard sh**, mean sh**.”

“That’s how we used to do it back in the day,” said Swizz of the number of track laid out for the release. “It used to be about the sound, not the single. So right now, we constructing sounds for the album.”

The forthcoming album will be Snoop’s 11th, following his 2009 album Malice N Wonderland, which dropped in December 2009. It put up the lowest debut numbers of his career, selling only 59,000 copies in its first week. However, it went on to sell upwards of 400,000 units.
