Cincinatti Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco has big plans for the team’s season opener on the 12th … that is, if he scores a touchdown.
The flamboyant receiver promises that if he scores a TD against the New England Patriots on at Gillette Stadium during their opening game, he’ll perform a unique touchdown celebration.
He revealed what it would be via a tweet recently.
“If I am able to score Week 1 in New England, I will be taking the Minutemen rifle and firing as they do when the Pats score,” Ochocinco wrote on Twitter (@OGOchocino).
According to ESPN, the Patriots have Minutemen standing behind each end zone during each game, and they “react accordingly when the team scores.”
It’s been an annual tradition as part of recognizing the history of the region.
Should be interesting… hopefully Ochocino can score and we’ll see if his stands true to his word.
